Alcohol is a drug. Marijuana is a drug. Tobacco is a drug. These things have implications for the brain and body that only the user can bear. When someone says no to a drug, take it as no. Full stop. They don’t owe you any reason. Stop trying to cajole people into doing drugs.
And liquor. As a Nigerian traditionalist, spirits LOVE liquor. Not necessary for those recovering from addiction Offerings of especially food, liquor, tobacco, money etc creates an energy exchange, & gives them the strength to assist you on your journey. Seal it with prayer!
Going Fishing. (K, fine, I can hear you all groan. Corto Maltese fanout finished with a different take on the tobacco smoke I doodled w/Esmeralda two weeks ago. Smoky figure based on a certain image from the comic... if you can see it. Pencils & charcoal on heavy paper. pic.twitter.com/DKu3RRENld
Love a thick cut pork chop - especially when it was bought on the farm. Farms in NC are extremely diversified. They raise crops (like tobacco and sweet potatoes to name a few), cows, pigs, chickens, and lots of other things. Big or small - and we need to be grateful for all! pic.twitter.com/u19Vxxh0Ow

@Cristiano - this is a powerful way to #ActOnNCDs.

I’m not saying EVs shouldn’t be part of a solution, but the main goal HAS to be less driving/fewer cars. Picture tobacco companies selling “better cigarettes” with less bad stuff as the solution (which can actually lead to MORE smoking) when we know the solution is to not smoke. pic.twitter.com/6skFT90exP
From Nina Katchadourian's first survey at Pace Gallery to Gabrielle L'Hirondelle Hill's probings of the Indigenous economics of tobacco at the Museum of Modern Art, these are the must-see shows in New York
